High School Placement
Eighth Grade families work closely with the school's Placement Counselor and the Upper School Director throughout the high school placement process. The Placement Counselor and the Upper School Director help families look for a match between the eighth graders and the high schools, and they advocate for the students with the admissions offices. Students apply to a wide variety of places, including independent day schools, boarding schools, schools with religious affiliations and public schools; most of them choose independent day schools in the New York metropolitan area. VCS graduates are sought after by the high schools because of their strong academic and personal qualities.
